Hope for Wennie Hong

She's a 19 year old girl that has recently been diagnosed with brain stem glioma (this is the consensus at the moment, it is a type of cancer that originates from the brain or brain stem), with a survival of less than a year.

I found her family's blog with details of her struggle and extreme awesomeness via another blog who found it via another blog, etc etc... I'm not usually a huge bandwagon jumper, but after checking out her Photography on Deviantart and her Personal blog, i just had to send her some love and support.

A: Mostly I straddle reality and the imagination. My reality needs imagination like a bulb needs a socket. My imagination needs reality like a blind man needs a cane. Math is hard. Reading a map. Following orders. Carpentry. Electronics. Plumbing. Remembering things correctly. Straight lines. Sheet rock. Finding a safety pin. Patience with others. Ordering in Chinese. Stereo instructions in German.

Simon Tofield has a new animation featuring his irresistible cat. My personal cat does the same lap thing while I’m on the computer. Previously at Neatorama: Cat Man Do and Let Me In! Tofield is an animator at Tandem Films, where I found out that Cat Man Do won the prize for Best Comedy at the British Animation Awards. -via Metafilter

adaam1: i said "I think I have the wrong number"
adaam1: they said, "well, what were you looking for" I said ..."I guess the internet" and they said "Well, you've reached the right spot"
adaam1: we talked aobut me editing the page on wikipedia about elephants and changing the word elephant to "dick" throughout the entire thing
adaam1: then I got transfered to the dinosaur section of the internet cause I said the word "Diplodogus"
